My Pisa Tour

Piazza dei Miracoli - The 'Square of Miracle' has been the pride of the human civilization and proof of extraordinary architectural marvel amongst the world's greatest monuments from centuries past. I can still remember the charm and mytery we used to feel about the leaning tower and the stories around it in our old school days....so I took a chance to visit this wonderful creation of late antiquity age in Pisa.

Let me tell you my travel story that progressed from a dream towards the realization.

Please step along with me to visit the great Pisa's Leaning Tower with its mytery and glory:-) that was shaped on the right bank of Arno river centuries back...

So let's go....

The day started with a cold wind gust and a chilling near zero temperature. I started at 5:00 in the morning on Saturday, and on the way to Charleroi South...literally shivering with icy frigid morning breeze. The morning soon transformed to snowy fairy tales with falling white puff all over - a silent dance. I was in dramatic ecstasy. On the way I could barely manage capturing a few timeframes of impeccable snow-whites. :-)

Ryanair being the only choice of poorman's Eurotrip, I had the only and obvious choice to book a ticket to Pisa and back with Ryanair and Ryanair kept its consistency in being late, this time one and a half hour. In the mean time in Charleroi South Airport I got plenty of opportunities to shoot some nice flying birds...boarding and unboarding in a rather haze weather.

WOW!! those were lovely :-)

It was 07:40am, still the flight was not possible due to heavy snowfall, they had to jet-off the snow out of my plane's wing, so what to do but to wait for another 15minutes, oh yes let's take a shot. Click!!

08:00am and off we went into the air leaving the Brussles sky behind. Relief for me came, when I heard the pilot announcing that the Pisa will present a nice sun shine and a blue sky. That's great to hear. :-)

It was a One hour fourty minutes flight and I was busy in admiring the heavenly beauty of mother earth from high above the sky and sometimes capturing a few of those with my Cannon Powershot, my best friend when I am travelling alone. ;-)

Snow lays nice texture over the ground

White winter cloud

Towards Italy crossing the Alps

A few feets more and we touch the land of Pisa

Welcome to Galilei International Airport ...can you see the Italian alps along the horizon. :-)
